Meet Titus my son! I went through more than 24 hrs of hard labor and ended up with a forcep delivery to bring my prince into this world on 26 april 1 min pass midnight. I have started a new set which I will be uploading iPhone pictures of him that I try to take as often as I am able to manage. :)

Wow..... 33 weeks already....
The time now is 5:51 a.m.
Here I am sitting wide awake. Thanks to the umpteen times (every 20 mins to half an hour during the night) of pee-ing (trickling only) sessions I had to waddle to the toilet to perform and the ultimate half an hour poo-ing effort I had by sitting on the toilet bowl since 4:30 and finally felt the exit around 4:53 a.m. AND ended up with little achievement...... And people has been asking how have I been? Hmm...... I think I could fairly describe myself as kinda TIRED??!! Because hell this above itinerary has been going on for well....... quite a while since I hit 3rd trimester.....................................!!
Okay, this is the first blog post since I became pregnant. I was having a watsapp conversation with wendy and she asked me, why don't I pen down in a journal all these experiences that I am going through. So this explains the sudden impulse at this time and only now I decided to write.
I believe EVERYONE has noticed my almost disappearance, ok total disappearance in fact from the the online world except for some whining facebook status updates. Not that I have become aloof or suffering from depression. Seriously. Try getting pregnant in my way. The hard way! While I am at this, I would like to thank all my clients/fans for the enquiries and miss me messages that they have left in my FB. I do read them although delayed.
Before i became pregnant, the beautiful things that I associated with pregnancy were simply great motherhood, beautiful mommy glow, wonderful appetite that can allow me to eat a cow. Weight gaining with a license. Pleasant baby movements! Lots of beauty sleep! Some women really experienced the above described and has no other symptoms other than the bulge. (I really feel that they are so blessed).
And the hard fact is! My pregnancy is something which has taken all my energy away.......... I lie in bed sleepless at nights and google away most of the nights. And to let my precious son know, mummy has encountered all the symptoms and complains and it is almost 100% of what has been mentioned in all the pregnancy posts that professionals put up in the internet.
I vomited constantly after every food intake (not just after meals) from first month up to the middle of the fourth month! The vomitting did not totally end but subsided into occasional food intake that baby (or rather my gastric) rejected. I had migraines........ i had all the body aches....back, pelvic, rib etc. and my personal favourite is the super ultra painful breasts and nipples that became so sore and returned with a vengence during the third trimester! How can I leave out those cramps that happens only at 5 a.m. in the morning at my upper abdominal! I do not understand why but this cramp has been seemingly punctual. Most dreadful and most ultimate whine I have will be the appetite. I had super many hunger pangs but zero appetite. I could not eat a proper meal without hating it. Who told me they could eat away like no tomorrow when they were pregnant? (I hate you). In the first few months I totally lost weight and only gained a bulge. I am glad that I am now catching up and has gained about 10kg since my pregnancy. Constipation very fast became a problem and along with it, yes the dreadful piles...... Oh oh, did I mention about the urination?
I am almost an encyclopedia for pregnancy complains..........
I have to nag this again. I have made great friends with my toilet bowl and other public toilet bowls since the day I sat on it and checked the pregnancy kit and it returned with a faint red line. I hugged it, sat on it and looked at it more than my husband in a day. The only thing I never could do is to kiss it, but thinking back during those vomitting days, I almost had to kiss it when I had no strength to stand back up...........
Sleeping has become such a challenge now. When the tummy gets big enough to feel uncomfortable either side I turn, I need lots and lots of tossing and turning before I feel comfortable enough to doze off and in just a few minutes, I am woken up by the call of squeezed bladder! And to top things up, I have water retention which means that I wake up every morning with pains in my joints especially all my finger joints and elbow joints! Some morning I wake up feeling like I do not have hands because they had all become numbed. Talk about a great pregnancy!
Well apart from all this whining, it is sometimes amazing when everything is quiet and I sit there and look at my tummy... Can I just say that the proudest thing that I can mention about this pregnancy is that I do not have ugly stretch marks (touch wood and hope they do not surface overnight). Ok back to looking at my tummy. The amazing thing is the bond and connection I feel with the baby. Well, I have a lil boy inside me and we are naming hm Titus. Looking at his squirming and elbow nudging, kicking and hiccups movement sometimes can be really delighting. (And at this very moment while I am writing this, I feel his effort to kick my ribs apart). It is something (the only thing) which I believe I will miss when he leaves my body and comes out to meet me. It is by far the most amazing thing that I have encountered in a lifetime. Having a life inside me and controlling me. All my life I have been wanting to experience this. Become a mother. Although all these complains that I have since i got pregnant makes me think twice about getting pregnant again. I know once I see him, all the pains and agonies that I have will not be in vain.

Dunno why
I just had a rush of emotion, a gush of sadness overwhelmed me. Reason, unknown. I only know I started tearing, then sobbing and went into a complete out of control emotion release. I felt a sense of loss. Like I lost something. The grief was that kind like departure. For good. The heart wrenched like it did many years ago. The same kind of emotion stirred a storm in my heart. And I , for the first time or once in a long time caught myself crying and for god knows what reason. I for sure am puzzled at this strange behaviour but it did feel strangely good that those tears can be released. A few times this few days I cried in my sleep. Woke up feeling sad n lost. I guess I am scared in my subconcious. Maybe of the future that awaits me.

About Me
My name is Ting 婷.
I am the founder/creator of A NICTAY PRODUCTION. I started collecting my portfolio in the Year 2010. I am a self-taught image consultant and photography artist. I specialize in FEMALE MAKEOVER PORTFOLIOS.
I named my work A NICTAY PRODUCTION and not photography because my service includes everything from makeup to hairstyling, to art directing, to photography and finally photo editing. It is a full production and not just a simple photo-shoot which normal photographers can offer. As I am an all-in-one-person production, I offer a much higher level of comfort and trustworthiness to my customers. I hold integrity in what I do and respect my customer's trusts in me.
My image consultation interest started out at a young age. I used to dress up for myself, then for my friends and family with my own vision of beauty. As my portfolio speaks, my sense in beauty was recognized and accepted by most of the girls I have transformed. My first photography attempt in recording down a transformation was using my mobile phone camera. I realized my talent in this area and used my own self portraits for my very first showcased portfolios. The portfolios that I uploaded created awareness very quickly among my personal friends who started to inquire about having portfolio done for them.
Sexy boudoir/nude/half-nude shoots was always in the fantasy of many women but they being a normal working class or housewife or mother, will find it hard to trust and engage just any photographer to realize this fantasy for them. Me being a female photographer gave these ladies a very good avenue to realize their dreams. My customers comes from all walks of life and over a big range of ages.
The other batch of female customers are those who did not realize that they too had the potential of becoming a beautiful woman. I take pride in every session I do that successfully escalated the self confidence of these beautiful women. Friends of these customers have given me titles such as magician and genius in my testimonials for the successful transformation I have done.
Apart from sexy and transformation shoots, I too offer beautiful girls who knows how beautiful they are but have not met a photographer that they can trust to produce satisfying portfolios for them. I strive to achieve a professional looking portfolio so that these girls may have beautiful photographs of themselves which they could only admire of the models in the magazines.
Over a period of 1 year or so, I have touched the hearts of more than 1 hundred woman with my sincerity and effort to make them beautiful in the productions I have created and executed. I feel very lucky that I have the opportunity to realize my dreams and I will continue to strive to excel in what I am doing, keep learning and improving to serve all my loyal customers better! How do I book?
You are supposed to send me a private msg over facebook after adding me to your facebook account. I need to verify that yours is a genuine enquiry and I prefer to take in bookings from people/friends who knows my work after they have gone through my portfolios. ( I do not wish to be subjected to possibilities of complains from unreasonable consumers who are not recommended or referred).
Marketing Right
Niko Tay / Ting / A Nictay Production will hold the all rights of your photos and by engaging me, you give me permission / rights to use your photos for printing of my own portfolio books or other promotion materials that might be implemented.
What if I do not want my photos to be posted online or for printing for your marketing fair use?
There will be a marketing right fee that you need to top up.

I am accepting bookings for all days (weekends or weekdays), however subjected to availability.
How long will i wait for my pictures to be ready?
I am doing everything myself, so with the normal queue, you should expect to wait at least 1 month for photos to be ready.
Collection?
You will collect your edited soft copies with your 8gb thumbrive when your pictures are ready. Please come with appointment. Please collect your soft copies within 1 month of notification. Otherwise, I will not be liable for compensation should there be loss of files due to malfunction of the hardware.
What will i expect when i come for the shoot?
Nothing! Come with an open heart! Give me your trust and I will make sure you will be happy with what I will produce for you. :) Do not book if you haven't heard or witnessed about my work. I discourage people who has their own demands and expectations to book with me. Because a session with me is to discover another you whom you never knew!
What things to prepare for the photoshoot ?
1) Eye Lashes
2) Big Eye Contact Lens (if any)
3) Variety of outfits (Different styles and colours)
4) Matching Shoes
5) Accessories to match your wardrobe is welcomed (eg. Earrings, hats, scarves, necklaces)
6) I provide pre-shoot merchandising consultation shopping session. PM to check my rates
Payment
1) A deposit will be requested to be transferred to my POSB current Account
2) Balance payment strictly on the day of the shoot
Cancellation
I do not allow cancellation thus there will not be a deposit refund should you cancel your appointment. However, if you notify me 1 week in advance for the postpone of shoot, I can allow up to 1 month defer. Please note that in the event I fall sick when it is your booking day, you shoot will be delayed to the earliest available slot in my schedule.
Refund or Compensation
If I do cancel your appointment without postpone date in the event such that I fell ill / be pregnant or inability to fulfill ur actual day special event booking, I will be responsible of full refund. Please note that should there be any conflict or complain compensation, it shall not exceed the amount of your booking and subject to conditions.
Special Feature
I am giving an extra 5 edited copies to bookings that allow me to feature your transformation shoot "BEFORE AND AFTER". :) Only applicable to people who has read this note and bookings made after 11 July 2011.

Don and Jolene's Wedding
These are the actual day wedding photographs that I took for a good friend Don. ...I feel really honored that he gave me the chance to be his official wedding photographer for his big day! For this shoot, I met up with Glynis for shopping at Chinatown. This looks like she is wearing a kimono does it not? Nope, she was wearing a pyjamas and some scraps of cloth that we put together so that we could pull of the kimono feel. LOL.
For this shoot, I chose yellow and shocking pink as the makeup colours. Chose the fake lashes that were longer at the ends. Have to say we took reference on a couple of pictures we found on the internet when we were conceptualizing this. We had a lot of fun when we were preparing the shoot. I love how porcelain her skin was and it gave me a lesser issue with achieving the look. We hunted for white powder to put on her, a wig to help heighten the bun on her head. Found a great shop that sold beautiful embroidered fabric. The pyjamas that looked a little like kimono was about 15 SGD. LOL.
For the shoot I used two speedlites , 1 behind to light up the umbrella, 1 on the centre left front and one continuos light on her right slightly front.
Used my Nikkor 35mm F1.8 on my Nikon D90 to get this shot. Love the catchlight in her eyes. And her wonderful expression. Overall, I had great fun and totally enjoyed this.

I have been avoiding bridal for the longest time. Maybe for the fact that I have a sad past. It is not easy to have to watch couples going down the red carpet. Especially when it has been something that I had experienced before and that my marriage did fail. But I guess, since it is where the main source of income comes from for many professional photographers, it is something that I do have to face up with in a matter of time. I hope I will be able to bring to you more of some bridal shoots that I should be engaging myself in for my near future.
This is Glynis, former Mrs Singapore International. I really adore her for her patience and gift for posing with beautiful variety of expressions that I can churn out of her. I guess instead of expecting the model to be able to do everything you want from her, it takes an interactive and communicable photographer to speak to her and describe what she should be feeling in order to get what expression you want from her. It was more effective that I could demonstrate to her being quite a model myself! LOL. She is really easy to work with, being v amicable and lovely and not afraid of hardship during the shoot. It could get really hot and sweaty in the tropical climate of Singapore.
I used green and turquoise eye shadows to brighten up her eyes. And this beautiful eye lash that i bought at far east plaza! She has really pretty lips and a set of gorgeous teeth! As an image consultant cum photographer, I swear that teeth is seriously one of the most important things that a girl should never neglect to maintain and beautify!
I did some research on the internet and discovered this place in Singapore that I had never set foot in since i started shooting. I was thinking of the concept of this shoot and realized that horses, barns and fields could easily create an out of Singapore feel that I want. Thus I decided that we must make this trip to Bukit Timah Saddle Club!
For this shot, we found this restaurant that was under renovation and walked in with a huge pleasant surprise that they had these gorgeous antique looking furniture and decorations. It was v stuffy and all but Glynis toughed it through and gave me many gorgeous shots! I am really proud of her! I shot this on high ISO about 2500 with my D700 using my Nikkor F1.4 24mm. I am pleased with the little noise level I faced. i have been experimenting with a little selective colour and faded skin tones for my photo processing to achieve a different type of nostalgic feel as opposed to the cross processing type. I achieved this result which I was the most pleased with among the other versions cause it gave me a little cinematic feel and suited the porcelain skin concept I had in mind.

I hope my first approach in writing some details of my shoot gives some insights on the stuff i do. Hopefully as I write along, I get more readers! I am awfully busy these days and hardly have time. Hope I will meet another shoot which I will have the mood to write then I will give another write up about that!
